Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) has over five decades of experience when it comes to heavy lift operations. At HMC we have developed techniques enabling our clients to achieve cost effective development solutions.
Our methodologies and equipment have broken many records, like the installation of the Shearwater topsides, 11,800 t in one single lift. The most impressive being the Bullwinkle platform with a Jacket weight of 48,000 t.
The special features of our crane vessels are:
- Semi submersible hull shapes, reducing weather downtime and improving first oil dates
- Dual crane capacity for installation of integrated decks
- Possibility of transporting modules and equipment on the deck of the crane vessel, reducing cost and improving workability
- Provision of accommodation during hook-up support
- The large work deck area and the vessels motion behaviour provide a safe working environment for all people onboard
