Recruitment Process

Who can apply?
Have you just graduated? HMC is looking forward to receiving your resume. A wide range of degrees are suitable for positions within Heerema. HMC offers a wide range of challenging opportunities for professionals with working experience.

How to apply?
You can apply for a specific vacancy or express your general interest in the organization via an open application. 
  1. Online application for specific position: fill out the registration form and upload your resume and motivation letter;
    or
  2. Submit an open application to the relevant division.  
Procedure
Step 1
Fill out the online registration form and upload your resume and cover letter. You will receive a confirmation by email that your application has been received. Using your login and password you can check the status of your application. Within two weeks you will get a notification on how we wish to proceed.

Step 2
If your application is successful, you will be invited for an interview by our recruiter or the manager involved.

Step 3
Should you reach the next stage of the recruitment process, you will be invited for a second round of interviews with people within the division and the appropriate department. For some vacancies an assessment could be part of the procedure. 

Step 4
After successful completion of the interview rounds we can make you an offer.
Employment Package
The full terms and conditions of the employment package include basic elements such as:
  • Salary – Although salary in the end is not a lasting motivator, we believe in paying a fair salary that is regularly benchmarked.
  • Pension - All employees at HMC are entitled to join the company pension plan. This is an excellent plan.
  • Holidays –  The actual number of holidays may differ for onshore or fleet personnel and could differ per division and per country.

In addition to this basic package we offer:

  • Healthcare benefits.
  • A motivating profit sharing plan, which rewards both individual and group accomplishments. Heerema Group has implemented an EVA (Economic Value Added) based management system. The explicit goal of focusing on sustained value creation within Heerema is underlined and supported by the EVA incentive system. The incentive consists of a variable compensation.
