The Advisory Board of Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) hereby announce that as per 4 November 2009 Jan Pieter Klaver has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Jack Jacobs who fulfilled the CEO function on an interim basis.

Jan Pieter has a wide range of experience in the oil and gas industry. He started his career with HMC at the projects department and worked thereafter in different positions in the Heerema Group. Since July this year Jan Pieter has been COO of HMC. He will remain COO alongside his function as CEO.

We congratulate Jan Pieter with this appointment and wish him success with this new challenge in his career.
