Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) is engaged in exploration and exploitation of Mumbai High field located about 165 km West-North-West of Mumbai in the Arabian Sea on the continental shelf of western India.

The field is well developed, with an extensive infrastructure of wellhead platforms, process platforms and pipelines. In order to augment its exploitation program under Mumbai High South redevelopment phase II, ONGC wanted to add one process platform along with associated pipelines, a flare tripod and modification works at the existing IC process complex.

The ICP-R Process Platform facilitates the additional production from the existing ICG, ICP and ICW process platforms and enhances the production from the South Field of the Mumbai High. 

Afcons Gunanusa Joint Venture awarded Heerema Marine Contractors Nederland b.v., the subcontract for the following services:

Management, installation engineering, transportation and offshore installation of the platform, for the components:

  • MHS-ICP-R Jacket and piles
  • MHS-ICP-R Topsides (msf, compressor module, building separator and generator module)
  • MHS-ICP-F3 Flare Tripod Platform
  • MHS-ICP-R vs ICG Bridge
